Healthy Eating at the Loft Cooking School

Grade 8 MacLachlan College student Jennifer shares her thoughts on the recent ESL experiential learning trip to the Loft Cooking School, “The students made pasta, tomato sauce and garlic bread from scratch. Cooking together encouraged students to collaborate and communicate with each other in English and allowed them to improve their teamwork skills. The ESL students also made and decorated delicious cupcakes by using their creativity and concentration. They ate their excellent products and gave positive feedback. The cooking trip was lots of fun and students developed a deeper understanding of their current unit of study – Healthy Eating and Lifestyle.”
