Leading during a global crisis: Resilience, Re-orientation and Re-Imagination

Years ago the Gershwins wrote “Summertime and the livin’ is easy.”

This inspired me to take a different tack with this month’s blog post. I thought you might like a break from words on a page so we’re going with video!

In July I was invited to participate in a virtual event sponsored by Marquée Magazine. I was asked to share my thoughts on leadership during a time of global crisis. In preparing my presentation it became clear to me that the entire MAC community played a role in our ability to successfully navigate the choppy waters of COVID-19.

I hope you will take a few moments to watch this video and understand how very much I know that your support enabled us to lead the school through this time.

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be.”

Our students, parents, teachers and staff were the source of inspiration that powered me through the entire period and I am grateful.
