MAC Coordinates a Donation of 12,000 Shirts for the Creation of PPE!
We are excited to say that Executive Director, Lisa Duranleau of MacLachlan College has connected and continues to collaborate with her contacts to contribute to this cause. MacLachlan College has coordinated a donation of 12,000 golf shirts to be used as fabric for the creation of face masks- that’s enough fabric for about 70,000 masks!
Thank you to Dave Higgins of Higgins Rentals and InSchoolWear for volunteering your time and services to distribute to the community and thank you to 680 News for broadcasting this community outreach. MAC is continuing to work together with the community to provide even more fabric for personal protective equipment. Connect with us if you want to sew!
After an incredibly successful day of curb-side pickup on Monday, April 13th with over 4000 shirts distributed to the community our next Pickup day is scheduled for this Saturday, April 18th from 10 am to 2 PM at 886 Sinclair Rd. in Oakville!
Visit Canadasews.ca for instructions and list of participating UPS stores near you when you are done sewing.
