Planning a green Space at Evergreen Brickworks
Gr. 7 and 8 students went on an engaging trip to Evergreen Brick Works. Students travelled to Toronto where they had the opportunity to take part in a nature walk around the reclaimed clay quarry, learn about native plants and sustainable features and the historical significance of the site. Students even had a chance to plan a green space and map the area around MacLachlan using natural materials!
A fantastic experiential learning trip filled with exciting cross-curricular opportunities, linking geographical questions about how we use the land to historical questions of how land-use has changed over the years.
