Service in Action: Lower School Students Making a Difference

All students in JK – 5 have begun their part of our Service in Action initiative in the Lower School! Taking meaningful Action is a core component of the IB Primary Years Programme, and Service is one of the 6 Round Square IDEALS. 

Students engaged in half day workshops and used design thinking strategies to determine challenges in our community and ideate potential solutions. They thought carefully about sustainability, healthy living, kids in need, animal support, working with seniors, grown-ups in need, and more. Empathy is at the heart of design, and students carefully considered ways they could take action and make change.
