As part of their Inquiry Unit, “If I Had a Million Dollars,” Grade 1 students will travel to the Ancaster Old Town Hall to participate in a hands-on ARTisan Market experience.
Students will begin by purchasing materials to create their own greeting cards, carefully considering how to budget and spend. After decorating their cards and setting prices, they will take turns acting as both buyers and sellers—learning about money management, value, and basic economic principles in a fun and interactive way.
This immersive activity brings together math, art, and inquiry, helping students build real-world skills through creativity and collaboration.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
