PreK & JK Students Explore the Five Senses Through Cooking!

Our PreK and JK students participated in an engaging in-school workshop with Cook Smart Kids, supporting their Five Senses Unit of Inquiry through hands-on learning. This interactive experience helped students explore how their senses play a role in cooking and eating while developing valuable life skills.

During the session, students learned how to wash and prepare ingredients, practice safe cutting techniques, and recognize how their bodies signal hunger and thirst. 

Experiential learning opportunities like this foster curiosity, independence, and real-world skills in our youngest learners. A big thank you to Cook Smart Kids for bringing this exciting workshop to MacLachlan!
