Grade 9 Students Explore the Niagara Parks Power Station!
Our Grade 9 students took a fascinating trip to the historic Niagara Parks Power Station on February 21, enhancing their understanding of electricity and its far-reaching impacts.
The students explored the evolution of hydroelectric power, descended 180 feet into a 2,200-foot tunnel, and enjoyed breathtaking views of the Niagara River from the observation deck. They also analyzed the social, environmental, and economic impacts of hydroelectric power, while evaluating sustainable energy production practices.
This hands-on learning experience is helping students deepen their understanding of electricity’s vital role in shaping society and our environment.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
