French Poutine Café

Today, our Grade 8 students turned the classroom into a bustling French café as they showcased their language and culinary skills at the French Poutine Café! This exciting event combined creativity, teamwork, and cultural exploration, allowing students to bring French learning to life in a hands-on way.

Working in teams, students designed unique poutine recipes, each with a special theme, and carefully crafted their presentations—entirely in French. They engaged with an audience of peers, teachers, and judges, offering free samples and explaining the inspiration behind their dishes. 

Beyond language learning, the Poutine Café fostered collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking. Students not only developed their culinary skills but also learned about branding, presentation, and customer engagement.
