Ontario Student Debate Union (OSDU) Senior Provincial Debate Tournament

Amanda and Zaahid proudly represented MacLachlan College at the OSDU Senior Provincial Debate Tournament, held at Upper Canada College from February 21st-23rd. Competing against 46 top teams from across Ontario, they tackled complex topics ranging from the parliamentary vs. presidential system to the idea of a "sin tax" on meat products.

Despite this being our school's first time at the tournament and competing in the Canadian National Debate Format, our debaters rose to the challenge with confidence and skill. With six rounds of intense debate, they gained invaluable experience and showcased their critical thinking, eloquence, and adaptability.
