I am a partner at Lindsey MacCarthy LLP. As a west coast law firm that has just entered Ontario, I am the lead partner in the Toronto office and have been tasked to help the firm establish roots in the province and expand their reach across Canada. As a corporate lawyer, I often work with mid-market businesses and other professionals as a first point of contact regarding all of their legal needs. Although I did not consider law as a career until business school, I can trace all of my foundations in the profession back to my law classes at MacLachlan.
I first attended the Commerce Program at Queen's University. It opened my eyes to the world of business and gave me a further taste for international travel. As a result, I attended law school at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in London, England.
I thoroughly enjoyed the entirety of my O.A.C. year. I really came into my own and solidified many friendships that will last a lifetime. I also recall working closely with Ms. Bright (then my homeroom teacher and guidance counsellor) to explore my interests and choose the next step that reflected my goals.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
